Turkey's daily power consumption down 4.4% on June 5

- Electricity exports amount to 9,743 megawatt-hours, while imports total 8,434 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.4% on Saturday compared to the previous day, reaching 825,796 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time at 39,270 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,265 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 827,328 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.4% decrease from Friday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 31.6% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 14.9%, while lignite plants held a 13.7% share.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,743 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,434 megawatt-hours.
