Turkey's daily power consumption down 4.3% on August 8

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 10,078 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 4,277 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased on Saturday by 4.38% compared to the previous day to reach 898,939 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 41,139 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,681megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production reached 893,139 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.8% decrease compared to the previous day.

While electricity production from natural gas constituted 26.31% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Saturday, hydroelectricity power plants held a share of 24.04% and the share of imported coal was 21.70%.
