Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased on Saturday by 4% compared to the previous day to 903,509 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 41,474 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,699 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
Electricity production totaled 896,755 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.6% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 251,365 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydroelectricity plants followed with 200,420 megawatt-hours and 154,630 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 2,338 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 9,092 megawatt-hours.
