Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.84% to 844,533 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 39,275 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,380 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 837,807 megawatt-hours on Saturday with a 4.28% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal at 198,887 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and natural gas followed with 184,601 megawatt-hours and 159,114 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,459 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 11,185 megawatt-hours.
