Turkey's daily power consumption down 3.61 % on June 19

- Electricity exports amount to 13,846 megawatt-hours, while imports total 8,639 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.61% on Saturday compared to the previous day, reaching 888,025 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,000 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,193 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 861,205 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.50% decrease from Friday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 38.1% of total electricity consumption, lignite plants comprised 13.5%, while imported coal plants held a 15.9% share.

On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 13,846 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,639 megawatt-hours.
