Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.67% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 899,374 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,879 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,114 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 901,240 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.67% decrease compared to Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.9% while lignite plants comprised 13.5%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,641 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,845 megawatt-hours.
