Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.04% on Saturday compared to the previous day, reaching 961,135 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,033 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,467 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 967,646 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.1% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36,9% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants held a 16.1% share while imported coal plants comprised 15.2%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,096 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,461 megawatt-hours.
