Turkey's daily power consumption down 2.58% on April 14

- Electricity exports amount to 9,722 megawatt-hours, while imports total 1,127 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 2.58% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 884,464 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,910 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,222 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 893,726 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 2.6% decrease from Tuesday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.65% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 18.72%, while imported coal held a 14.8% share.

On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,722 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,127 megawatt-hours.
