Turkey's daily power consumption down 2.04% on Sept. 13

- Turkey's electricity exports total 4,285 megawatt-hours while imports reach 4,818 megawatt-hours on Friday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 2.04% to 844.833 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 38,873 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its daily lowest point of 29,868 megawatt-hours at 07.00.

Total electricity production reached 844,300 megawatt-hours on Friday, with a 2.32% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 205,095 megawatt-hours.

Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 185,562 megawatt-hours and 140,512 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Friday, Turkey’s electricity exports were at 4,285 megawatt-hours while imports reached 4,818 megawatt-hours.
