Turkey's daily power consumption down 1.9% on Nov. 27

- Electricity exports amount to 15,016 megawatt-hours, while imports total 457 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.93% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 859,891 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 41,936 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,917 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 874,449 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.88% decrease compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 36.04% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 21.28% share while hydroelectricity plants comprised 16.21%.

On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 15,016 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 457 megawatt-hours.
