Turkey's daily power consumption down 15.2% on June 7

- Electricity exports amount to 8,032 megawatt-hours, while imports total 6,523 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 15.2% on Monday compared to the previous day, reaching 847,114 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 40,966 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 26,840 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 848,967 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 15.2% decrease from Sunday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36.2% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15.9%, while lignite plants held a 14.2% share.

On Monday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,032 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,523 megawatt-hours.
