Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.39% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 855,343 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,704 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,350 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 858,615 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.42% decrease from Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.47% of total electricity consumption, wind plants comprised 14.39%, while lignite plants held a 12.67% share.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,409 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,272 megawatt-hours.
