Daily electricity consumption fell by 1.32% to 876,178 megawatt-hours on Friday in Turkey, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 40,862 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 30,158 megawatt-hours at 07.00.
Total electricity production reached 875,546 megawatt-hours on Friday, with a 1.29% drop compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from natural gas plants totaling 215,294 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and dam hydropower plants followed with 207,222 megawatt-hours and 152,989 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Friday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 3,193 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 3,825 megawatt-hours.
