Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.26% on Friday compared to the previous day, reaching 866,868 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 41,805 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,156 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 868,298 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.32% decrease from Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 39.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 14.3%, while lignite plants held a 13.5% share.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,874 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,555 megawatt-hours.
