Turkey's daily power consumption down 12.44% on July 4

- Electricity exports amount to 17,003 megawatt-hours, while imports total 6,209 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 12.44% on Sunday compared to the previous day, reaching 863,288 megawatt-hours according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,939 megawatt-hours at 21.00 local time on Sunday, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage was lowest at 30,451 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 874,427 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 12.29% decrease from Saturday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 38.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 15.9% share while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 12.1%.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 17,003 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,209 megawatt-hours.
