Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 12.28% to 644,804 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 31,603 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 23,418 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.
Electricity production totaled 650,325 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 12.18% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 176,730 megawatt-hours. Domestic lignite production and hydroelectricity followed with 131,772 megawatt-hours and 127,50 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,762 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,241 megawatt-hours.
