Daily electricity consumption fell by 1.19% to 887,876 megawatt-hours on Thursday in Turkey, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 41,412 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 30,293 megawatt-hours at 07.00.
Total electricity production reached 886,991 megawatt-hours on Thursday, with a 1.18% drop compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from natural gas plants totaling 208,382 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and dam hydropower plants followed with 207,964 megawatt-hours and 170,402 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Thursday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 3,083 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 3,967 megawatt-hours.
