Turkey's daily power consumption down 11.18% on Oct. 27

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 7,527 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 6,530 megawatt-hours on Sunday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 11.18% to 642,694 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 31,484 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 23,655 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 643,692 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 11.22% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 165,028 megawatt-hours. Lignite and hydroelectric imports followed with 138,233 megawatt-hours and 117,452 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,527 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 6,530 megawatt-hours.
