Turkey's daily power consumption down 10.7% on Nov. 17

- Turkey's electricity exports amounts to 7,880 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 12,084 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 10.7% to 660,707 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 32,618 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 24,676 megawatt-hours at local time 09.00.

Electricity production totaled 656,503 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 10.2% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 201,729 megawatt-hours. Lignite and hydroelectricity plants followed with 131,804 megawatt-hours and 112,433 megawatt-hours, respectively.
