Turkey's daily power consumption down 10.7% on June 13

- Electricity exports amount to 8,340 megawatt-hours, while imports total 12,598 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 10.7% on Sunday compared to the previous day, reaching 744,587 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time at 34,589 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 26,032 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 740,474 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 11,3% decrease from Saturday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15%, while lignite plants held a 14% share.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,340 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,598 megawatt-hours.
