Turkey's daily power consumption down 10.5% on Oct. 13

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 9,357 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 7,172 megawatt-hours on Sunday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 10.5% to 646,707 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 32,081 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 23,388 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 648,892 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 10.5% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 181,895 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and lignite followed with 143,891 megawatt-hours and 132,448 megawatt-hours, respectively.
