Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.04% to 784,704 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 36,934 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,453 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production totalled 787,591 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.68% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 202,613 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 188,097 megawatt-hours and 164,535 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Thursday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 6,791 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,904 megawatt-hours.
