Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.03% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 809,924 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 44,063 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,615 megawatt-hours at 04.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 915,195 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.91% decrease from Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.75% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 22.08%, while imported coal power plants held a 15.25% share.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 17,848 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,761 megawatt-hours.
