Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.02% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 785,551 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 35,540 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 26,354 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 789,298 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 1.01% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.7% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 20.3%, while lignite plants held a 13.8% share.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,922 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,276 megawatt-hours.
