Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.68% to 674,259 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 31,006 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 22,808 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 665,055 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 0.37% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 176,137 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and run-of-river plants followed with 139,683 megawatt-hours and 101,812 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 219 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,423 megawatt-hours.
