Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.65% on May 25

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 5,534 megawatt-hours, while imports total 1,255 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.65% to 459,671 megawatt-hours on Monday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 24,723 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 15,289 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.


Total electricity production reached 463,950 megawatt-hours on Monday with a 1.29% decrease compared to the previous day.


The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 124,143 megawatt-hours. Run-of-river plants and hard coal followed with 92,485 megawatt-hours and 78,594megawatt-hours, respectively.
