Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.6% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 936,188 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.30 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 46,161 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,320 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 942,704 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.6% decrease from Thursday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 20.5% share, while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 13.2%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,615 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,132 megawatt-hours.
