Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.46% to 823,599 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 39,233 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,746 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 815,991 megawatt-hours on Tuesday with a 0.69% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 184,450 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and natural gas plants followed with 178,874 megawatt-hours and 168,204 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,629 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,237 megawatt-hours.
