Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.45% to 791,755 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 36,446 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,270 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 791,755 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an 0.7% decreases compared to Wednesday.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 203,501 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and natural gas plants followed with 152,921 megawatt-hours and 150,791 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 953 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 10,670 megawatt-hours.
