Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.43% on April 16

- Electricity exports amount to 10,103 megawatt-hours, while imports total 1,433 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0,43% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 870,977 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday at 10.00 local time.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,551 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,788 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 879,722 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.52% decrease from Thursday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.28% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 22.03%, while imported coal held a 14.62% share.

On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,103 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,433 megawatt-hours.
