Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.36% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 867,511 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 41,224 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,534 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 867,511 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.49% decrease from Wednesday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.8% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 23.2% share, while local coal power plants comprised 13.9%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,137 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,978 megawatt-hours.
