Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.28% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 870,607 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 18.00 local time, reaching 42,114 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,189 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 881,017 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.31% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 32.86% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.41% share while wind plants comprised 14.48%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,518 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,108 megawatt-hours.
