Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.25% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 921,390 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 11.00 local time, reaching 43,850 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,858 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 929,209 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.48% decrease from Tuesday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.6% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 18.8%, while hydroelectricity power plants held a 14.4% share.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,083 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,483 megawatt-hours.
