Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.19% on April 3

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 6,689 megawatt-hours, while imports total 6,541 megawatt-hours on Friday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.19% to 706,999 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 33,174 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 24,554 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 712,585 megawatt-hours on Friday with a 0.80% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 234,605 megawatt-hours. Import coal plants and Run-of-river hydroelectricity plants followed with 115,175 megawatt-hours and 103,858 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,689 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,541 megawatt-hours.
