Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.11% to 657,761 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 31,759 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 23,012 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 662,662 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 0.29% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 217,146 megawatt-hours. Run-of-river and wind hydroelectricity plants followed with 110,632 megawatt-hours and 99,535 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,215 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,314 megawatt-hours.
