Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.09% on June 4

- Electricity exports amount to 8,653 megawatt-hours, while imports total 7,000 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.09% on Friday compared to the previous day, reaching 863,707 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time at 41,356 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,954 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 865,484 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.12% decrease from Thursday.

Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15.1%, while imported lignite plants held a 14.1% share.

On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,653 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 7,000 megawatt-hours.
