Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased on Friday by 0.05% compared to the previous day to reach 925,199 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 43,038 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,862 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 928,630 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.02% decrease compared to the previous day.
While electricity production from natural gas constituted 27.87% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Friday, hydro power plants held a 22.51% share while imported coal plants comprised 22.20%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,581 megawatt-hours while imports reached 3,149 megawatt-hours.
