Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.04% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 883,643 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,343 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,234 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 889,695 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.02% decrease from Tuesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36% of total electricity consumption, wind plants contributed 16.3% while imported coal plants comprised 13%.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,400 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,466 megawatt-hours.
