Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.03% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 856,505 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 40,795 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,584 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 866,025 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, with an increase of 0.39% from Monday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 27.73% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 21.37% share while lignite plants comprised 16.10%.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,812 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,292 megawatt-hours.
