Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.03% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 870,294 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 18.00 local time, reaching 41,607 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,012 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 881,180 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.01% increase compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 32.46% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 22.08% share while wind plants comprised 12.14%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,615 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 729 megawatt-hours.
