Trade volume of spot electricity mkt. hits record high

- Turkish Energy Stock Market (EXIST) data shows record trade volume of 223.55 million liras on the electricity market

Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume in Thursday's electricity market set a record high of 223.55 million Turkish liras, according to official figures on Wednesday.

The trade volume on the electricity market on Thursday showed an increase of 36.92% compared to Wednesday.

The previous high trade volume record in the day-ahead spot market was set on Sept. 6 this year with 211.44 million liras

The highest electricity rate for one megawatt-hour in the day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 998.00 liras at 16.00 and 17.00 local time and the lowest at 289.99 liras at 03.00, 04.00 and 05.00 local time.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity for the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 398.25 liras and 409.71 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market on Wednesday was set as 358.99 liras at 16.00 local time and the lowest at 200.01 liras at 06.00 local times.

US$1 equals 7.50 Turkish liras at 1214GMT on Wednesday.
