The trade volume of Turkey's spot natural gas market increased by 118.5% to 12.13 million Turkish liras on Wednesday, Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Thursday.
Total trade on Tuesday amounted to 5.55 million liras.
On Wednesday's spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,310 liras, while the total natural gas trade volume amounted to 9.24 million cubic meters.
Turkey received 120 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Wednesday.
US$1 equals 7.32 Turkish liras at 1100 GMT on Thursday.
