The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending August 20 decreased by 7.33 percent to 170.89 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending August 13, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 184.41 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 221.85 liras and the lowest was 100.05 on Monday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 449.49 million liras.
US$1 equals 3.52 liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
