The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending April 15 decreased by 2.19 percent to 190.49 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending April 8, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 194.77 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 221.47 liras on Tuesday and the lowest was 140.01 liras on Sunday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 567.78 million liras.
US$1 equals 4.08 liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
