Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, May 3

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.05 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,600 Turkish liras at 9 a.m. (0600 GMT) and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1400 - 1900 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,248.01 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday's electricity market showed an increase of 6.5% to 1.05 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,152.47 liras and 2,165.66 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set 2,600 liras at 8 a.m, 9 a.m. and between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500, 0600 and 1600 - 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,248 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 19.46 liras at 2.06 p.m. local time (1106 GMT) on Tuesday.
