Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, March 11

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.77 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 5 a.m., 8 a.m., and between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0200, 0500, 1500-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,000 liras at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. local time (0900 and 1000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 29.8% to around 1.77 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,702.33 liras and 2,711.31 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,400 liras at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), while the lowest was at 250,01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 44.05 liras at 2.21 p.m. local time (1121 GMT) on Tuesday.
