Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Mar. 18

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 978.82 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,199.99 Turkish liras at 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0200 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 700 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 20.1% to around 978.82 million liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,640.36 liras and 1,643.04 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,227 liras at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), while the lowest was set at 241.41 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 44.21 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
