Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, July 16

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.19 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1600 and 1900 GMT), according to official figures released on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,419.99 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday's electricity market shows an increase of 38.4% to around 2.19 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,105.03 liras and 3,115.56 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Tuesday was set at 3,399.45 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1700, 1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 999.99 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 40.17 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
