Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 5

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 692.93 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkey's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 1,345 Turkish liras at 09.00 local time (0600 GMT), while the lowest will be 800 liras at 23.00 local time (2000 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday's electricity market showed an increase of 6.4% to 692.93 million liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 1,101.96 liras and 1,112.21 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Tuesday was set as 1,345 liras between 08.00 and 11.00 local time (0500-0800 GMT), with the lowest at 898.98 liras at 23.00 local time (2000 GMT).

US$1 equals 13.30 Turkish liras at 1126 GMT on Tuesday.
