Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 28

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.02 billion liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400.00 Turkish liras at between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., 6 p.m. local time (0400-1000, 1400, 1500 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,155.99 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 17.46% to around 2.02 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,037.35 liras and 3,060.74 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,400.00 liras at between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1300-1600, 1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,399.99 liras at 2 a.m. local time (2300 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.39 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
